GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lemons Mill Road has reopened following the detonation of a suspicious object.

A groundskeeper at a nearby factory discovered the package around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. He described the object as "pretty big" and was rougly the size of a pipe bomb.

Police say there was a note on the package that read "this is how we blow s**t up in America." They confirm it was a pipe bomb casing, but there were no explosives inside.

The object was detonated. A person of interest was detained and is being interviewed at police headquarters. The road was closed for several hours.
