LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington teenager accused of causing a crash that killed two young half-brothers was mistakenly put on the court docket for Friday, July 26.
He is scheduled to appear in court on August 2.
Bobby Puckett, 19, is facing two charges of second-degree manslaughter for the crash that killed the two half-brothers in February.
Police say Puckett was the driver of a car that crashed in the early morning hours of Feb. 17, killed 15-year-old Neo Sanders and 17-year-old Roan Sanders.
Lexington police say Puckett crashed into a tree at the Southside Technical Center off Harrodsburg Road.
Because of the early hour of the accident, authorities say it took hours before someone spotted the wreckage and alerted police.
Speed was likely a factor in the crash, officials have said.
Puckett was seriously injured in the crash and taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Now he faces arraignment on the charges.
LEX 18 talked to the Neo Sanders' father after the crash. He said the half-brothers were very close.
"My son told me, like, daily that even if I got custody (he didn't) want to be without Roan," said Mark Williams.
