What a lovely day... Off and on rain showers and patchy fog have made for the greatest of conditions today. But at least its been warm with temperatures well into the 50s. We're opening up the first weekend of 2020 with, you guessed it, more rain. It will also be turning much colder. Temperatures will only climb a degree or two tomorrow. The day will begin with more rain showers before a cold front drags colder air through the region. The rain will end late Saturday as a wintry mix or some light snow showers. Any flakes that do fly will have a hard time sticking. The ground is too warm following this stretch of balmy days. The ridges of southeastern *may* see a light coating by Sunday morning on the grass and elevated surfaces. Sunday will be an old fashioned January day with highs in the lower 40s and finally some sunshine.
