We have enjoyed all the best that summer has to offer today. There has been a nice mix of sunshine and puffy cumulus clouds, warm temperatures, and manageable humidity. As is generally the case our days with these conditions are numbered. The mercury starts climbing again tomorrow and eventually the muggies will creep back in over the weekend. Highs will be near 90 degrees to cap off the week. Over the weekend highs will reach the lower 90s. With the higher humidity it will feel more like the mid to upper 90s especially on Sunday. All the while things will stay mostly dry, but a sneaky afternoon storm can’t be ruled out through early next week. While the sunshine will be great, abnormally dry conditions are beginning to crop up across our western counties. The pattern become more unsettled through the middle of next week with chances for scattered thunderstorms.

On another note today is an extra special day in the StormTracker Weather Center as we launch our new graphics system. There will be some changes – some you notice, others will be more subtle. We will be able to show you new exclusive products to aid us in telling the weather story and to keep you and your family safe on severe weather days.
