This is adorable! Babies born at the Christ Hospital Health Network in Ohio are being given “Baby Shark”-adorned onesies for Shark Week.

Every baby born at the Cincinnati hospital through Aug. 3 of this year will be given a limited edition onesie. The hospital has never given out a special edition onesie for an entire week before, though they do have onesies for holidays and other special events. But given the popularity of both Shark Week and “Baby Shark,” it’s no surprise that sharks are having a moment.

A Christ Hospital marketing consultant said the hospital expects to have 170 to 175 babies born from July 28 to Aug. 3, the same week during which the Discovery Channel’s “Shark Week” occurs.

We couldn’t love this precious idea more!

“Shark Week” is incredibly popular with television viewers. During this week of special programming, the Discovery Channel airs tons of shark-related shows and even has a nightly “Shark After Dark” talk show.

People truly love the event. As the channel itself wrote in an Instagram post, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.”

But perhaps even more beloved than Shark Week right now is the song “Baby Shark,” with which America seems to be obsessed.

It’s insanely popular because it’s an earworm, and the video remains viral on the internet as tons of children play it over and over. And over. And over.

The video on YouTube by PinkFong has been viewed more than 3.1 billion times and counting. That’s a lot of “Baby Shark” devotees. In fact, the song’s popularity has annoyed Alexa — the Amazon Echo voice assistant — so much that, back in September 2018, it began to tell users that it could do more than play the song.

“I can tell you the weather, I can even count to 100,” Alexa responded when asked to play “Baby Shark.”

If you prefer to watch shark-themed TV shows instead of hearing the song, here is the Discovery Channel’s schedule of shows to watch. Those who can’t tune in through the weekdays will be able to turn to the channel on Aug. 4 for the network’s best shows from “Shark Week.”

But “that’s the end, do do do do do do” and you’ll have to wait until next year for another week of all things shark.
