LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) - — Heavy rain and a strong round of storms came through Lexington Monday afternoon.

Torrential rain caused flooding under the RJ Corman overpass at North Broadway. The roadway was shut down until the waters receded. The intersection of Loudon and Russell Cave Road was also blocked until it was safe for vehicles to cross.

LEX 18 wasn't immune to the flash flooding as employees scrambled to remove their vehicles from the lower lot of the station.

The viewing area can expect more rain throughout the week as the remnants of Barry arrive in Central Kentucky.
