LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Traffic patterns to your favorite Distillery district bar could be impacted by road work on Lexington's Manchester Street.

The replacement of 1,500 feet of trunk sewer on Manchester Street will cause the road to be closed to thru traffic between Oliver Lewis Way and the railroad/creek crossing near Driscoll Street beginning on Monday, Nov. 11.

The closures will be in place until May 2020.

A marked detour will route drivers from Oliver Lewis Way to Versailles Road to South Forbes Road.

Businesses in the construction zone will remain open and be accessible via South Forbes Road.

In addition to replacing the trunk sewer on Manchester Street, the project will replace part of the sewer line on Willard Street and some lines that serve properties in the construction zone.

Sewer service in the area will be maintained throughout construction.
