LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Trevor Noah has been scheduled to speak with students and faculty at the University of Kentucky in August.

Noah is scheduled to appear in Memorial Coliseum on UK's campus on August 30 at 9 a.m.

The assembly has also scheduled remarks from UK representatives and a ceremony for alumna Doris Wilkinson, who will receive her honorary doctorate.

UK has encouraged their faculty and staff to add this event as part of their syllabus.

Students could miss class for the assembly and still be considered present. There will also be book discussions on Born a Crime by Trevor Noah that students will be encouraged to attend.

UK has also encouraged professors to create a post-assembly discussion in class to speak about the assembly and Noah's autobiography that will be available this summer.

Tickets are free for UK students and employees and are required for entry. Tickets will be available beginning the week of July 15.
