LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3) — President Donald Trump will be making a stop in Kentucky on Aug. 21 to campaign on behalf of incumbent Gov. Matt Bevin as he prepares for November's gubernatorial election.
Bevin's campaign announced that Trump will be traveling to Louisville.
Bevin for Governor campaign manager Davis Paine released the following statement:
"Governor Bevin is thankful for President Trump's friendship and strong support. The Trump-Bevin economy has created over 55,000 jobs, leading to the lowest unemployment in Kentucky history. The governor looks forward to furthering that partnership as they continue to work together to move Kentucky forward."
Bevin recently attended Trump's rally in Cincinnati. Trump pointed him out to the crowd and lauded his accomplishments.
