The back half of the work week will be more active as a pair of cold fronts cross the Bluegrass. The first will push through today in the process a few thunderstorms are possible, especially this morning. We will also exchange summertime heat for more seasonal temperatures with highs dropping back into the mid 80s. Tomorrow will turn out to be your typical summer day as we wait in between systems. Showers and storms will make a comeback late Thursday night ahead of the next front. This one will be the game changer. After spotty storms to close out the week it will turn cooler and less humid into the start of the weekend. Saturday will be a delightful August day. It's not often that we can say that. After starting near 60°, temperatures will climb into the lower 80s with plenty of sunshine. Enjoy it, because this will only be a short visit. The heat and muggies will blaze back in Sunday with highs skipping towards 90 degrees.
