Busy week weather-wise.

It was nice while it lasted. Our dry stretch comes to an abrupt end as rain moves in tonight. Showers will be area-wide by morning. Periods of rain will continue tomorrow before winding down during the first half of Tuesday. Up to an inch of rain is possible across southern counties, which may lead to some localized flooding issues. Between 0.25" and 0.5" is expected for the Bluegrass. Temperatures will remain mild to start the week.

February and meteorological winter will finish strong. It will turn chillier beginning Wednesday on the back side of Monday/Tuesday's system. A mid-week clipper will also bring another round of rain showers that could end as light snow Thursday morning. The end of the week will be even colder with highs in the mid 30s and lows near 20°. Temperatures will be on the way back up through the early days of March.
