It sure doesn't feel like winter begins in a matter of hours. (Winter officially begins at 11:19 PM tonight.) We saw highs in the low and mid 50s across the Bluegrass. Lexington's average high for today is 42°. This winter warm up is only getting started...

Tomorrow will be much like today with highs in the low to mid 50s, except there will be more clouds as a system passes through the Gulf Coast states. Most of the rain will stay bottled up across the Deep South, but a few showers may find their way into some of our southern counties. Temperatures will really take off once this system clears out. We will welcome back sunshine for Christmas week. It will be turning balmy by Christmas with highs near 60°. Our temperature trend remains unusually warm for late December through late week.
