Pentagon says Iran's new supreme leader injured after succeeding father

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Friday that Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is “wounded and likely disfigured.” Khamenei issued a written statement Thursday, not appearing on video or audio, less than two weeks after a U.S. strike killed his father. He vowed revenge and said Iran will keep restricting ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
