Great news, we’re one day closer to abundant sunshine and warmer weather! Today has been cold to chilly, but we’re tracking changes in the near future. Cloudy skies and a light breeze out of the north are responsible for the cool weather today. Though the changes are coming soon, keep in mind that we have a couple of freezing mornings to get through.

Overnight, and most of Tuesday we’ll keep clouds hanging around. There will be bits of sunshine, mixed in. Temperatures warm slightly tomorrow, but you can still expect a cold morning and a chilly afternoon. Skies will clear by the evening of Tuesday and because of this areas will see temperatures plummet Wednesday morning. Some of the valleys in the southeastern counties may dip into the mid to upper 20s. Therefore, a FREEZE WATCH has been issued, but will likely become a freeze warning by tomorrow. The warning will expire late Wednesday morning, and then the warm up begins! We will boost our afternoon high by 20 degrees between Tuesday and Thursday. High pressure will scoot by us and as wind shifts out of the south, the long overdue warmth comes with it. The high pressure will also keep cloud coverage at bay and that will only help to warm us. We’ll be pushing near 80 degrees come the end of the work week.
