Keep on enjoying the spring weekend and don’t worry about washing your car. Off and on rain showers to start the work week will take of the dirt and pollen. We are tracking a low that is currently sitting over Arkansas. The system is already pushing showers into western Kentucky. It won’t take much longer for the wet weather to reach us.

There will be a bit of a traffic jam in the upper-levels of the atmosphere, so this low will move very slow and almost become stationary over western Tennessee through mid-week. We are tracking showers to arrive overnight. A few showers will be possible after dark across southern Kentucky. The rain will continue lifting northward into Monday morning. Keep your rain gear handy. Showers will be likely throughout the day tomorrow and remain off and on through Wednesday morning. This low will finally get into the driving lane and exit the  on Wednesday. We are tracking a break from the constant rain on Thursday and most of the Friday. A cold front will bring scattered showers back to the StormTracker to begin the weekend.

Along with soggy conditions, we are tracking cooler than normal temperatures for the final days of April. More details are in the 8-Day Forecast over on the Weather page.
