Let the Warm Up Begin!

We’re tracking plenty of sunshine over the course of the next few days. High pressure is in control and will keep things quiet. Expect, with the clearing, a big warm up that will start to feel borderline “summer-like” before its over! We’re starting cold in the blow to mid 30s across the board. By the afternoon, the lack of clouds will help us warm into the low 60s.

The FROST ADVISORY is finished and temperatures are above the threshold. Today warms up nicely into the low 60s with plenty of sunshine. You may want to wait one more day before putting out the plants as temperatures will dip back into the low to mid 30s Monday morning. After that, the high pressure, and shifting winds will have us warming into the 70s and eventual 80s for the afternoon with morning lows not dipping further than the 40s. Nice weather will be present most of the work week. We do see a late-week cold front which looks to keep things a little soggy on Oaks Day. There’s still plenty of time for this to change, but the closer we get, the bigger the reality. Still, showers will hopefully wrap up early Derby Day before the races. Temperatures will cool slightly, but the mid-60s and even a little sunshine could develop as the race is run.
