Tracking a calm, quiet, and all around beautiful few days in the forecast. High pressure is in control and will make most of this week really nice. Temperatures started a little frosty this morning, but with the ample sunshine, we have been warming quickly. We’ll break the 70s for the afternoon high today, but we’re just getting started.

The combination of sunshine and southerly wind flow will be responsible for the warm up this week. The weekend was lower than average for temperatures due to the cold pool of air in place. Now, we will finally be warming above our normal highs of the low 70s, starting today through Thursday. Prepare for warm temperatures rising to the 80s by the middle of the week. Mix that with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies, and you’ve got yourself a good looking outdoor weather week. We are tracking one incoming cold front that looks to throw some shade around Oaks Day. Oaks crowds (and horses) will have to content with showers and possibly thunderstorms as the passing front rolls through. The good news, is that most of the active weather looks to move out overnight and we should have a better look to Derby Day!
