What another great early summer day! Unfortunately it won’t last into the holiday weekend. The high that has kept us sunny and more comfortable will nudge a little further eastward tomorrow. This will bring back the muggies and increase our chances for storms. Some tropical moisture will also feed our storms chances over the next few days. A tropical system is trying to get organized off the Yucatan peninsula. The National Hurricane Center gives these thunderstorms a decent chance of developing into a tropical system over the next five days. Even if a tropical storm or hurricane doesn’t materialize, there will still be plenty of moisture sent our way.

The long holiday weekend won’t be a washout, but we are starting things off with pop-up storm chances Friday followed by more scattered storms over the weekend. Sunday looks to be the most unsettled day of the bunch. All the while we will track highs that remain in the 80s.? We could set a record more the most 80 degrees in the month of May over the coming days.
