Muggy and unsettled will be the headline for the Memorial Day weekend. We are tracking highs in the 80s as the muggies creep back in. Don’t let the word "unsettled" stop you have enjoying some early summer outdoor fun. There will be some dry time this weekend, especially on Monday. But it will be a good idea to have a plan B. Downpours and lightning could threaten your outdoor plans Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

We are also tracking Alberto, the first named storm of the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season. This storm is expected to slowly move into the Gulf of Mexico and track towards the Gulf coast over the weekend. Along the away Alberto will send tropical moisture northward, which may reach the Bluegrass as early as mid-week. The added moisture will fuel storm chances through next week. It will remain warm despite the daily storm chances. We are tracking highs to remain in the 80s through the end of the month.

Stay ahead of the weekend storms with the LEX 18 StormTracker Weather app. The MaxTrack Live Doppler is included with the *free* app.
