Storm Chances Decrease Through Memorial Day Weekend

Moisture is in place (as evidence with the clouds) and it will be enough to get a few rounds of showers and storms. Scattered activity will be the case today as heating builds cumulus up to storm strength. Heavy downpours and lightning will be the main threats. Gusty winds and small hail are possible under the stronger cells. Otherwise, cloudy, warm and muggy is how your Saturday goes.

The good news about your Memorial Day weekend is the fact that rain and storm chances decrease as we move along. Sunday is the better day out of the holiday weekend if you don’t have Memorial Day off of work. If you do, Monday has less of a chance and will only produce isolated showers and storms. There may be storms around, but it’s still not going to be a washout. In between the storms, cloudy, warm, and muggy will be the status quo.
