The LEX 18 StormTracker Severe Threat Index is back at 0. The severe threat has greatly diminished across the area. Flooding is now the greatest threat for the rest of the night. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for central of central Kentucky through 2 AM. Repeated rounds of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening have left a number of spots water-logged. Any additional storms later tonight will carry more heavy rain. More flooding may arise. Watch out for high water. Never drive through flood waters. Turn around, don’t drown.

Conditions will continue to settle down overnight. Friday starts of quiet but muggy. Later in the day a cool front will drop through the Bluegrass. We are tracking another round of scattered storms to develop. This batch won’t be as strong or widespread as we saw earlier today.
