Summer is back from its vacation, and is bringing heat and the muggies back to the Bluegrass. As the dominant ridge slides east, we are tracking a jump in humidity along with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Feels-like temperatures Friday afternoon will easily near 90° in spots. Perfect day to be sitting by the pool, just don’t forget to stay hydrated and lather up with sunscreen.
The combination of the summer-like conditions and a wiggly front will usher back in chances for storms by Sunday. Any storms that develop Saturday will be hit or miss as a stationary front wobbles towards the Ohio River. The boundary will get a little extra push Sunday, which will pump up our chances for scattered storms. Chances for thunderstorms will remain in the StormTracker forecast through the start of next week.
