Now temperatures AND the humidity are up. Summer is officially back in the Bluegrass. It might not be a bad idea to head to the lake or the pool to stay cool this weekend. We are tracking a steamy one. It will feel borderline sticky with highs in the mid to upper 80s Saturday and Sunday.
Keep an eye out for a few storms if you will be swimming, boating, or just out and about this weekend. We are tracking chances for some "heat of the day," pop-up thunderstorms Saturday. Not everyone will see some action. Storms will become more numerous and pick up in coverage on Sunday as a cold front drifts southward through the Commonwealth. Downpours and gusty winds will be possible.
The summertime conditions will continue next week. We are tracking chances for additional isolated to scattered storms to start the week. Late week will be highlighted by several days of sizzling temperatures. We are tracking highs near 90 degrees for the first time since early May.
