A Break from Storms and the Humidity is Coming

Here we go! We are tracking the last round of storms tonight that will accompany a cold front. A line of storms is expected to weaken as it moves through the Bluegrass. An isolated strong storm could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Activity will continue to fizzle after midnight.

After that we will see a slight reprieve from the oppressive humidity to close out the week. Dew points will fall from the lower 70s today to the mid 60s Thursday. That takes us from "yuck" to "muggy" on the muggy meter. The heat will also back off slightly behind the cold front. Highs will be in the lower 80s tomorrow. Enjoy it while it lasts! We will start sizzling again by the weekend. The heat gets cranked back up close to 90° plus we’re adding the "muggies" back in. So it could feel close to 100° on Father’s Day!
