Better Chance for Storms Sunday

Most of us caught a break from storms today. We won’t be so lucky tomorrow. A warm front will lift northward overnight, which will give the muggy airmass over the Bluegrass a little extra nudge. We are tracking chances for scattered thunderstorms to close the weekend. And we won’t quite shake the unsettled conditions until the middle of the upcoming week as the boundary stalls. Storms will be widely scattered Monday and Tuesday before increasing Wednesday as a cold front tracks through the area.

Then get set for another heat wave. We are tracking highs to jump into the low 90s late week. We have already strung together a number of hot ones so far this season, but this heat wave may be the longest one yet. Check out the highs that we’re tracking in the 8-Day Forecast over on the Weather page.
