A Few Sunday Storms

We’re tracking a mild and muggy morning, but today is a bit different as showers are still rampant from yesterday’s heating. A few scattered storms are still active on the MaxTrack and will be through the morning. After that time frame, we’re still going to be dodging storms as heating spawns new ones through the afternoon.

Due to the lack of any real “wave” or trigger mechanism (other than diurnal heating) these storms will be a little more isolated rather than scattered. Still if a few merge together they can create a large storms capable of producing heavy rain and even a few strong wind gusts. Storms for this afternoon will fizzle out overnight. That being said, a wave will eventually dive south through the morning hours of Monday. This will create a chance for more scattered storms through the morning and afternoon of Monday. Temperatures through this time frame remain around average with lows in the upper 60s and highs in the mid-80s.
