We’re tracking another day with strong storms dumping rain and bringing strong wind gusts. Storms today are a little more scattered compared to the last two days. Still, if one rolls over, you’ll want to be indoors until it passes. Flood and wind damage are possible through the afternoon/evening. Otherwise, it’s cloudy and mild with temperatures in the 70s or low 80s (depending on rain).

It’s been days with storms and rain. Waves of low pressure creating enough instability to drive strong thunderstorms which bring heavy rain and damaging wind. Flood and wind damage have been reported in many locations this week. A break is needed for everyone. Good news is, we get that break at the end of the week. Showers and storms will continue through the rest of this evening and a few lingering showers will last through Thursday morning. A few isolated showers are possible in the afternoon Thursday, but not much more than that. In fact, skies will be clearing from the widespread cloud coverage and we’ll get more sun towards the afternoon. High pressure sustains itself through Friday and we end up with sunshine and warmth. The heat wave will begin Thursday as temperatures break the 90 degree mark and hover around that for the next 7 days (at least). On top of that, humid conditions will be present, but at least we won’t have to deal with storms for a couple of days.
