Reserve your spot now! From the looks of the weekend forecast, the lake and the pool will be packed. Today begins an extended stretch in the 90s. High pressure will have a firm hold on the weather across the Ohio Valley this weekend. Along with the heat, we are tracking lots of sunshine. The center of the "heat dome" slides over Kentucky Saturday, bringing the peak of the heat along with it. We are tracking highs in the low to mid 90s and heat indices near 100°. A few more clouds Sunday will drop temperatures back a few degrees. This will be one of the hottest weekends of the year yet.

We are tracking more heat through the early days of July. High temperatures will remain in the low 90s through the end of next week. There’s a chance that we see a little relief, highs in the upper 80s as opposed to the 90s, next week. The ridge will weaken allowing a cold front to break through the flow, and spread widely scattered storms across the area. The heat dome will return to all it’s glory on Independence Day. More than just hot dogs, hamburgers, and sparklers will sizzle next Wednesday.

Lots of heat in the 8-Day Forecast over on the Weather page.
