June ends warm with temperatures starting in the 70s and getting up to the low 90s this afternoon. Clouds will be sparse, so shade and water will be your friend today as the heat rises. Humid conditions will be present all day, so there will be little relief from the heat. Otherwise, it’s a mostly sunny Saturday.
We bring in the new month on a particularly warm note. Not saying this is out of the ordinary, but temperatures are running about 5-10 degrees above average. Regardless, it’s going to be a hot, sunny, and humid start to the new month. With the amount of moisture at the surface, a few stray showers/storms could form in the afternoon Sunday, but don’t expect much out of this. A better chance for showers and storms shows up at the beginning of the work week, but even that looks small. High pressure dominates the forecast moving forward, which will also help keep us clear for the 4th.
