Not much has changed for the second half of the weekend. Temperatures are starting mild and will end hot. The difference for today will be the small increase in thunderstorm chances as a low south of us works a little closer. Building cumulus will be the result and a few showers/storms will be the result.
This is a “hit and miss” situation and therefore outdoor plans are still a lock, but watch for activity in the skies. Heat will be around again today, and proper heat safety should be observed. If you do happen to get a shower or storm, it will cool things off briefly, but expect to climb back up once the sun comes back out. Storms will be more prevalent as a the low spins closer to us. An incoming front will also help trap moisture and result in more activity. Independence day is still on track to be nice, but hot and humid.
