Perfect Summer Weekend

In the grand scheme of things, this morning’s showers and thundershowers were just a blip compared to what we have seen, and what we will see this weekend. The weak cold front pulls out of the mountains of southeastern Kentucky this evening, taking the remaining showers with it. Skies will become mostly clear area-wide, and overnight temperatures will be more comfortable.

Weekends like these have been hard to come by this summer, so take advantage as best you can. We are tracking seasonably warm days with lower humidity. Sunshine will rule most of the weekend. The pattern flip flops next week as an upper-level low accompanies a low tracking out of Arkansas and Missouri. We will see rounds of rain and storms starting Monday and lasting through mid-week. Temperatures will also be cooler than average as we head into the start of August.
