Allow us to officially welcome you to August. This weekend will have a very late-summery feel. The Bermuda High will be the dominant weather feature, which will pump plenty of the three summer H’s into the Commonwealth. We are tracking hot and humid days with highs up around 90° under sunny to partly cloudy skies. Don’t be surprised if a storm pops up during the heat of the day, otherwise we are looking dry through early next week. Sounds like the pool, or lake, is calling your name!? Just don’t forget the sunblock.
The dominant high will lose a little of its influence starting on Monday. We are tracking a cold front to drop in from the Midwest. Daily scattered storm chances begin on Tuesday. Temperatures will gradually cool off with the unsettled weather around. Highs will go from the upper 80s Monday to the lower 80s by later in the week. Enjoy the lazy, hazy summer days while they last this weekend!
