Tracking a Hot and Humid Sunday

Posted at
and last updated

Today was just your typical August day. It was hot and humid. Some passing clouds provided some shade. And a few pop-up storms developed during the afternoon. We will kick temperatures up a notch tomorrow with highs near 90°. The rest of the forecast will be a carbon copy. We are tracking sunny to partly cloudy skies with chances for pop-up PM storms.

The heat will back off and storm chances will be on the rise next week. A warm front will track through the Bluegrass to start the new week. We are tracking widely scattered thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Storm chances will ramp up further as a cold front approaches mid-week. More widespread showers and storms Wednesday will drop temperatures back into the lower 80s. Check out the latest 8 Day StormTracker Forecast over on the Weather page.
