The dog days of summer are living up to its name with heat & humidity. Today will be similar to yesterday in terms of both. We’re starting with more humidity this morning and its already sticky outside. This will continue through the day. Be aware of patchy morning fog. Regardless conditions are calm and quiet, under mostly clear skies.

Temperatures will be pretty close to what we had yesterday, although we nay bump up a degree or two on the thermometer. Outdoor plans are still a go for today, but we’re tracking another chance for a few pop-up storms; like the one that popped up over Southeast Lexington yesterday. There’s a chance for a heavy downpour and some lightning, but the chance is small again today. Better chances for showers and storms will begin starting tomorrow as pressure lowers and a cold front moves closer. A few waves of low pressure will dive south and bring in active weather all through next week. In addition, the front will keep things pretty rainy Tuesday and Wednesday. An umbrella would be a good idea this week.
