The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
North central Clark County in central Kentucky…
Southwestern Bourbon County in central Kentucky…
Northeastern Fayette County in central Kentucky…

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 549 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm
capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm
was located near Bryan Station, and moving east at 30 mph. Penny
size hail may also accompany the damaging winds.

* Locations impacted include…
Paris, North Middletown, Sidville, Elmendorf, Pretty Run, Blacks
Crossroads, Hutchison, Stony Point, Clintonville and Silver Lake.
In addition to large hail and damaging winds, continuous cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Lightning is one of nature’s leading killers. Remember,
if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by
lightning.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
