Mostly Calm to Start the Work Week

Higher pressure has allowed more sunshine today and fewer showers or storms. We are tracking a few small pop-ups around the MaxTrack this afternoon and there will be a few more forming as long as we have daytime heating. Activity that does form will bring a small area of heavy rain and lightning, along with a few strong wind gusts. Otherwise, it’s hot and humid under partly cloudy skies.

Tuesday is pretty much “rinse and repeat” as far as the forecast goes. The chance for showers and storms will remain low and temperatures will still run hot with plenty of humidity. As we move into the middle of the work week, that’s when we start to see bigger changes. The atmospheric pressure will lower and storms will move closer. Chances for activity are on the increase at the end of the week. Temperatures will lower some, as clouds increase and rain moves through. We’re still tracking rain chances over the weekend, but they should remain lower than what we get at the end of the work week.
