Right now, things are a little active as far as precipitation goes. Light to moderate showers are flanking the Bluegrass counties to the southeast. No lightning has been detected, so these are just showers for now. As we move into the heat of the day, this will change. Showers and storms are expected.
The active weather pattern continues with a chance for showers and thunderstorms today as low pressure continues to work through. A passing front will continue to produce showers and storms, especially with heating in the afternoons. Heavy rain, and strong wind gusts are possible. Sunday looks better with building cumulus and a mostly dry day. However, be prepared for a pop-up shower or storm especially in the southeast.
