Late August in Kentucky. Muggy, hot, steamy, stuffy, stifling would probably come to mind. Well, we are here to tell you that those words aren’t a part of the StormTracker Forecast over the next few days. After an unsettled start to the week it’s time to open up the windows and let in some fresh air!

Changes have been working in throughout the day. Temperatures are more pleasant. Dew points have been dropping. Clouds are still in place, but give it time and they will also be on the way out. We are tracking a taste of fall over the next few days as the influence of a Canadian high continues to intensify. Humidity levels will keep dropping overnight, allowing temperatures to settle into the mid 50s. You might need a light jacket or sweater to step out tomorrow morning if you live in a low-lying, valley location.

Thursday will be the pick of this stretch. After a seasonably cool start, we are tracking plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and highs in the upper 70s.? There will be a gradual uptick in temperature and humidity through the weekend as the high slides east. Don’t give up on summer just yet. There’s plenty more of that next week.
