Labor Day may signify the unofficial end of summer. Well, Mother Nature has a different idea. We’re tracking another steamy day tomorrow with highs that will flirt with 90°. The trend of increasing amounts of sunshine and fewer storms will also continue. But, a pop-up storm also can’t be ruled during the afternoon. Keep your StormTracker Weather app handy so a quick-hitting thundershower doesn’t completely disrupt your cookout or other outdoor plans.

Summer has been extended to a fourth month. The hot and sticky conditions will linger even as you head back to work. High pressure parked over the East Coast will keep us mostly dry with sunny to partly cloudy skies and highs around 90° through mid-week. The ridge will wobble a little farther to the east on Wednesday. Some relief from the downright uncomfortable conditions will then arrive, but at a price. We are also tracking an uptick in thunderstorms. A tropical disturbance across the Gulf may also fuel some of our late-week showers and storms. Stay tuned for updates!
