Your LEX 18 StormTracker surface map is looking more like a football play chart with multiple rounds of active weather tracking our way through the end of this week and into the next. Scattered showers & storms are more likely Thursday- mainly driven by daytime heating. A cold front will sag & stall across the Commonwealth Friday ramping up showers & storms again. Yet another wave will fire later in the weekend- Saturday night through Monday as the remnants of Gordon slowly loop across the Ohio Valley.

We’ll see a brief lull in the action with a lower rain chance Saturday but we’ll need to watch for torrential rain Sunday-Monday. Repeated rounds in the same area could lead to localized flooding. The heaviest rain looks to stay from the Bluegrass into northern Kentucky and N/NW across Illinois, Indiana & Ohio closer to the track of the low.
