All attention this weekend will be on the landfall & meandering track of the remnants of Hurricane Florence still set to hammer the Carolina coast Friday as a major hurricane. In addition to tropical storm/hurricane force winds and a devastating storm surge- sustained, torrential, tropical rainfall will result in life-threatening flooding along the coast & inland. Rain chances will slowly ramp up late in the weekend here at home and max out early next week with highs staying in the 80s.Some of that moisture could be linked to the remnants of Florence.
In the short term- lingering clouds mid & upper level clouds will keep it mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s Wednesday. Expect more of the same Thursday but more breaks for sunshine and highs edging into the low to mid 80s.
