Brighter Days Ahead

Rain, rain go away! A stalled front, which was yesterday’s cold front, wobbled a little farther north this morning. This put us closer to a wave of low pressure riding along the boundary, which sent another slug of rain our way today. I guess if we are going to deal with more rain, we might as well get something out of it. Today’s rainfall pushed us for the edge and set a new record for September rainfall. We are tracking the showers to *finally* exit this evening.

As a reward for our patience, we are tracking a fantastic stretch of fall days that will carry us through the weekend. Mornings will be cool, afternoons will be pleasant, and skies will be bright. A moisture-starved cold front will sneak in late Friday. It will bring nothing more cooler day Saturday and more morning clouds. The dry streak will run through Tuesday as yet another cool front drops. A few showers and storms will be possible. Warmer fall days await on the other side.
