Good riddance rain and bring on the sunshine! After a week of what seemed to be non-stop rain, we are tracking a picture perfect weekend forecast. Afternoons will be bright and pleasant, while nights will be clear and crisp. You might want to keep a hoodie handy if you’re heading out to high school games tonight or the Cats game tomorrow. Things will cool off quickly once the sun sets.

The only little hiccup this weekend will be the passage of a moisture-starved cold front late tonight. After clearing skies this afternoon, a few more clouds will return and areas of dense fog will develop once again. Any showers that this boundary sparks off will be lucky to reach the Bluegrass. Otherwise, this cold front will usher in a re-enforcing shot of cool air air. We are tracking highs near 70° Saturday. If you can even imagine, Sunday looks even better. There will be wall-to-wall sunshine as high pressure takes back over. Temperatures will get a boost Sunday and Monday. Rain and storm chances hold off until at least late Monday night. Enjoy the weekend, you deserve it!
