I’ll say what you’re all thinking. Today was pretty lousy with chilly temperatures, overcast skies, and passing drizzle and light rain showers. We are tracking some clearing late tonight with seasonably chilly lows in the lower 40s. There is another round of showers to get through then we are tracking improving conditions over the coming days.

Tomorrow will bring some sunshine, gusty winds, and spotty late-day showers as a system zips through the Ohio Valley. Showers will be confined mostly to northern and eastern counties. Meanwhile, areas south of I-64 can expect partly sunny skies. A cold front will kick up winds, which could gust up to 45 mph. Plan accordingly to secure your outdoor Halloween decorations. Once this disturbance passes late-day conditions will start improving.

High pressure will build in which means the start of the new work week will bring increasing amounts of sunshine and warmer temperatures. We are tracking temperatures to trend towards 70 degrees by Tuesday. The switch will flip on Halloween. An inbound cold front will bring rain and storms Wednesday and Thursday.
