The LEX 18 severe threat index remains elevated at 1 Thursday. We’re tracking additional rounds of heavy rain mainly across northern & western counties that have already been swamped over the last 24 hours. A flood watch remains in effect through Friday morning.

On top of that, we will also see strong, potentially damaging wind gusts (35-45+ mph) as low pressure tracks northeast along the Ohio river. A wind advisory is in effect Thursday as well. The combination of recent torrential rain and strong wind could topple weaker trees- be aware!
