The squall line is crossing I-75. Split north to south in terms of primary threat. South of I-64, damaging winds from strong to severe thunderstorms possible. There have number a number of severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings across south-central Kentucky. Meanwhile to the north, heavy rain is the biggest concern. Rain earlier this evening has limited the severe potential for the Bluegrass.

Storms will continue to track eastward at close to 50 mph over the next few hours. The line is already starting to show signs of weakening. But that doesn’t mean we can let our guard down. Strong straight-line winds are still possible as this line blows east.
