Enjoy a brief break in the action Wednesday- we’re still tracking a potential wintry mess on the way. Light freezing rain will track north overnight into early Thursday morning. Lows near freezing and overrunning moisture is never a good combination.
A slick, hazardous commute is possible but a relatively warm ground temperature will limit the threat, watch for minor to light ice accumulation mainly on elevated surfaces. A winter weather advisory is in effect through six AM Thursday- cold rain follows later in the day as highs rise above freezing. Western Kentucky will bear the brunt of a full-on winter storm with light icing over to 2″-5″ of snow, a winter storm watch is in effect out west!
