Temperatures are on the way up through the weekend. So long 30s and 40s, hello 50s and 60s! At the same time, we are tracking rising rain chances. The first round will arrive overnight and continue through the first half of the day tomorrow. The Friday night/Saturday batch will also carry chances for thundershowers.

We are still chasing the wettest year on record in Lexington. Our year-to-date precipitation totals currently sits at 65.61″. The expected one to two inches of rain through the weekend will set us over the edge. (The current record is 66.35″ from 2011.)

Once the rain finally pulls out Sunday, we are tracking another blast of cold air. Highs for the first full week of December will run in the 30s and 40s.
