It will be like turning off a faucet. We are tracking snow to rapidly end over the coming hours across southern and southeastern Kentucky. In the meantime, additional accumulations of heavy, wet snow will be possible. The Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisory remain in effect until 7 PM. We will keep the LEX 18 Winter Threat Index at a Level 1 for these areas. Roads will remain slick or hazardous even after the snow ends. Use caution if you must travel.

For the rest of us, skies will begin clearing and it will turn very cold with lows in the lower 20s. Monday morning wind chills will be in the teens. Slick spots and areas of black ice could develop as temperatures drop across the southern half of Kentucky later tonight.
