The new year has been off to a cloudy and dreary start. Who’s ready for some sunshine? Clouds will hang around to start the day, but by the afternoon we will sneak in some sun. Temperatures will remain seasonably chilly with highs in the mid 40s.
This will be a one-day-only appearance. High pressure will swiftly move across the Commonwealth today before heading towards the East Coast tonight. We are tracking clouds to return overnight ahead of showers that are set to arrive Friday afternoon. This upcoming rain chance will be associated with a low lifting out of the Gulf Coast. Showers will become more numerous as Friday wears on. Activity will wrap up just in time for the weekend. There will be more sunshine where that came from too. Sunday will be especially pleasant with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 50s.
